Breaking the Silence!

Informing the world of Christian persecution, one of the worst humanitarian crises on the planet, today.  And bringing aid to those who suffer in the most extreme conditions. Our voices cry out for persecuted Church where they have been silenced, while encouraging others to care.

Maybe you can recall the account of Stephen’s death in the Bible. Maybe you’ve heard the stories of Christians being killed by the Romans in the Colosseum. But you may not know Christians face more persecution now, than they EVER have before.

Here in the USA, we have laws that protect our right to worship Christ. Many of us take these rights for granted, they hardly even come to mind. We can afford to be at ease, because it doesn’t cost anything to be a Christian here. But today around the world, millions will face persecution simply because they worship Jesus Christ!

Over 100,000,000 Christians around the world are at risk of persecution. Some tell us that number is much higher. It’s become one of the worst humanitarian crises on the planet, today. ‘A crisis point in history’ that can no longer be overlooked, or millions more will suffer! Sadly, it’s a crisis not enough people realize exists. Unfortunately, the western media under reports the extreme persecution inflicted on our Christian brothers and sisters, worldwide.

For many of us, these stories can be hard to hear. We are busy with our own lives, family, career, etc. We have hardships and worries of our own and it seems one more thing might throw us over the edge. We wonder, “how much more can one take?” But can we really continue to keep our eyes and ears closed to the evidence of these growing atrocities? As free Christians, we can no longer be uninvolved, or keep silent! Our freedom gives us an important role in assisting our Christian brothers and sisters living in extreme conditions throughout the world. God has greatly blessed American Christians, could this be His reason?

There are many ways to help, support and get involved. First and foremost we need to use the power of prayer. Prayer is the number one thing those being persecuted ask for. Second, we need to share their stories and make others aware of their plight by conversing, sharing on social media sites, blogging or emailing others. Knowledge is key and a great way to get the ball rolling! You can also send letters to imprisoned Christians, make a donation, or become a volunteer. I pray this realization sets you into action. You can make a difference. You can be a voice crying out for the Persecuted Church. You can BE THEIR VOICE!

UPDATE: VOICE OF THE PERSECUTED is expanding. We now have foreign correspondents working in areas of extreme persecution. They have first hand accounts of the problems and needs in those regions. As persecution continues to grow at an alarming rate, we realize there is much more that needs to be done. We have become a Mission Ministry to help bring aid and advocate for those with the greatest need. We are now working with human/religious rights groups and activists, churches, missionaries and organizations standing with the persecuted. May God bless and guide our work.

OUR MISSION

VOICE OF THE PERSECUTED exists as a nonprofit international organization motivated by the persecuted Church and designed to bring awareness of, advocate for and assist persecuted Christians living in areas of extreme persecution. To urge them to make relevant and sound moral decisions based on Christian Principles while dealing with the problems they are facing. And to encourage endurance through the victimization that they are experiencing, or may be confronted with.

To inspire free Christians to care and do more in the means of assistance, physically and spiritually for their suffering brethren in Christ.

We are a interdenominational organization and will help all Christians who are suffering persecution and affirm that the Bible is the inspired word of God. We will not discriminate based on denominational differences, and we feel God has called us to assist all who confess Christ as Lord, though there may be significant differences between denominations. We accept those differences and will come together to support and defend the weakest members of our family, the persecuted Church. In certain circumstances assistance will also be offered to those suffering along-side ofthose we intend to help, regardless of their faith.

Scriptural Basis:

•Hebrews 13:3 Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you                            yourselves were suffering.

•Proverb 31:8 Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute.

•John 13:34-35 “A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.  By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

•Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.

•Galatians 6:10 So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith.

Statement of Faith

We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. That there is one God, the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

In the virgin birth of Christ, His sinless life, His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, an all-sufficient sacrifice for our sins, in His bodily resurrection, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, in His personal return in power and glory. And not by our deeds, but belief in Him as the only ground for salvation and eternal life.

We believe that the work of the Holy Spirit glorifies the Lord Jesus Christ, convicts the world of its guilt, regenerates sinners, and in Him they are baptized into union with Christ and adopted as heirs in the family of God. He also indwells, illuminates, guides, equips and empowers believers for Christ-like living and service. That all have sinned and regeneration by the Holy Spirit through Christ is essential and evident in the Christian life.

We believe in the spiritual unity of all true believers in our Lord Jesus Christ. The Church is not a building, but the Body of Christ. That believers are members of this body and Christ is the head. Together, we are family in Christ and have great concern for each member. 1 Corinthians 12:12-31

We believe that God’s justifying grace must not be separated from His sanctifying power and purpose. God commands us to love Him supremely and others sacrificially, and to live out our faith with care for one another, compassion toward the poor and justice for the oppressed. With God’s Word, the Spirit’s power, and dedicated prayer in Christ’s name, we are to combat the spiritual forces of evil.

In obedience to Christ’s commission, we are to make disciples among all people, bearing witness to the gospel in word and deed. Devoting ourselves in service to the Lord and His complete authority over our lives.
