(Voice of the Persecuted) You’re invited to join us on Saturday, April 29, 2023, in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.
Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?”
- Thank you, LORD, for being our light and salvation. Let us walk in the light. Pray the fear of God would be upon us and the Nations, especially those in power. Pray believers will not be ensnared by fear of man.
Psalm 27:2 “When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and foes attack me, they will stumble and fall.”
- Confound and put to confusion those who are trying to attack villages, people, churches or anything of God. Pray God would administer quick retribution according to His will.
Psalm 27:5 “For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.”
- Hide the believers from wicked plans of men; hide them when they gather.
Psalm 27:6 “Then my head will be exalted above the enemies who surround me; at his tabernacle will I sacrifice with shouts of joy; I will sing and make music to the LORD.”
- Pray for the joy of the LORD; to be able to sing and praise, knowing that we are more than conquerors.
Psalm 27:10 “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.”
- Pray for those who have been rejected by family; pray they would know God as a father and mother to them; set them in a family as per Psalm 68:6.
Psalm 27:11 “Teach me your way, O LORD, lead me in a straight path because of my oppressors.”
- Pray believers would be a good example, exhibiting fruits of the Spirit; be led by the Spirit and know God’s call for their life.
Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.”
- Pray for strength and courage; help to wait on the LORD.
John 10:4,5 “When he has brought out all his own, he goes in ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. But they will never follow a stranger, in fact, they will run away from him because they do not recognize a stranger’s voice.”
- May Christians hear from God clearly; give them discernment to know when it is the enemy.
John 10:9 “I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will go in and come out and find pasture.”
- Pray for many to find the gate of life. Pray many seeds would be planted.
- Pray for provision, good pasture, for Christians.
John 10:11 “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.”
- Pray for good under shepherds.
John 10:37,38 “Do not believe me unless I do what my father does. But if I do it, even though you do not believe me, believe the miracles, that you may learn and understand that the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.”
- Pray believers would work miraculous signs and wonders so that many would come to knowledge of the truth.
Isaiah 59:21 “As for me, this is my covenant with them’ says the LORD. ‘My Spirit, who is on you, and my words that I have put in your mouth will not depart from your mouth, or from the mouths of your children, or from the mouths of their descendants from this time on and forever,’ says the LORD,”
- Thanksgiving for the salvation of descendants of believers.
Hallelujah!
Again, we want to lift-up these persecuted witnesses to the Lord:
- Leah Sharibu, a prisoner of Boko Haram since 2018. Pray for her release.
- Alice Loksha Ngaddah, kidnapped February 2019. She is a mother of two, working as a nurse for UNICEF. Pray for her release.
- Pray for Pastor Wang Yi to be released from prison
- For Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani from Iran, as he and his family are adjusting from his release from prison, that they may know what God’s will is for them now. Pray for the trauma they had to endure. UPDATE: According to Article 18, once sentenced to death for his “apostasy” has been “pardoned” and released after nearly five years in Tehran’s Evin Prison, but told Nadarkhani that he still faces flogging (30 lashes) and two years’ exile 2,000km from his home. - UPDATE (March 17, 2023): Ryan Koher, a pilot for the U.S.-based ministry Mission Aviation Fellowship (MAF), and two of the ministry’s South African volunteers were released from a Mozambican prison Tuesday afternoon, the organization announced. The trio had been held at a high-security prison inside the southeastern African country for four months. Their release is a provisional one and they are required to remain in the country, while their case is still ongoing, according to MAF. Koher is said to be “doing well” following his release and has spoken multiple times with his wife, Annabel, and his two sons since his release, the ministry said. Source
The Harvest
- 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; 38 therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.” Matthew 9:37-38

What is Persecution Watch?
moved by the Holy Spirit to pray, we too must continue to serve those suffering persecution by lifting them up to the Lord through prayer.
On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters have been invited on the conference call to share the trials they are facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer. Time is often reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A also helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.
Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone.
We welcome all who desire to pray for the persecuted church and consider it a joy to pray together with you. If you are new to the call and cannot find your voice, listen in and pray silently or on mute. We are grateful and thank the Lord for bringing us all together to pray in agreement for our persecuted family in Christ. We can all be prayer warriors on this call!
God bless and protect you in your faithfulness to serve.
