- Pray we all would be able to praise no matter what the circumstances
Deuteronomy 6:7 “Impress them [God’s commandments] on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.”
- Pray Christians would be able to teach their children about Jesus Messiah in persecuted lands.
- Give parents wisdom on how to share the Good News with their children
and families; bring in the prodigals and others.
- Pray Christian parents would habitually bless their children as we bless God, and as God blesses and desires to bless His people.
Matthew 9:37-38 “Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field.’ “
- Pray for more prayer warriors; give Your people strategy when praying; pray in the Holy Spirit.
- Pray for the missionaries and the evangelists in countries where they are persecuted; for wisdom, provision, protection, led by Spirit.
- Pray for those who broadcast the Good News of Messiah.
Isaiah 10:1-2 “Woe to those who make unjust laws, to those who issue oppressive decrees, to deprive the poor of their rights and rob my oppressed people of justice, making widows their prey and robbing the fatherless.”
- Pray against unjust laws, such as anti-conversion laws, against churches and freedom of religion.
Psalm 31:20 “In the shelter of your presence you hide them from the intrigues of men; in your dwelling you keep them safe from the strife of tongues.”
- Pray for believers to safely meet in secret in countries where they are not allowed to meet.
- Pray every informer would be revealed.
Psalm 27:10 “Though my father and mother forsake me, the LORD will receive me.”
- Pray for believers whose families throw them out or seek to harm them because of the Word.
- Pray for girls and young women who are kidnapped and / or forced to marry Muslims against their will.
Psalm 27:1 “The LORD is my light and my salvation — whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”
- Pray against the spirit of fear.
1 Corinthians 2:9 “However, as it is written: ‘No eye has seen, no ear has heard,no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him’.”
- Give Christians God’s perspective: be able to forgive their enemies; not love their lives unto death, rejoice in the midst of trials (count it all joy!)

Alice Loksha Ngaddah kidnapped in February 2019. She is a mother of two, working as a nurse for UNICEF. Pray for her release.

Anita a Christian convert, facing a long prison term who escaped from Iran and praying to go to a country where she can express her faith openly.
Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani from Iran for his release and his family as their persecution continues. Pastor Nadarkhani is serving the second year of his six-year sentence.

What is Persecution Watch?
Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God. Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted, and the missions became one. Brother Blaine passed into glory on December 26, 2019. Nadia has a burdened heart for the persecuted and is a prayer warrior standing in the gap for them. She joined the Persecution Watch prayer team in 2013 and has been part of the core ever since. Before becoming the prayer call leader, she served in the role of prayer moderator since 2015. Blaine chose Nadia for her faithfulness to pray for the persecuted and her strong commitment to the Persecution Watch mission. We are blessed not only with her gift of prayer, but her genuine love for every brother and sister in Christ that comes on the call to pray. May the Lord continue to bless Nadia and the prayer team in the mission and their personal lives.
“Pray for us” is the number one request that we hear from the persecuted. As the members of the first century Church were moved by the Holy Spirit to pray, we too must continue to serve those suffering persecution by lifting them up to the Lord through prayer.
On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters have been invited on the conference call to share the trials they are facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer. Time is often reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A also helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.
Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone.

Persecution Watch: Praying for Believers in Eritrea
(Voice of the Persecuted) You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 28, 2022 in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.
ERITREA: Population: 5.5 million, Christians 2.6 million
Despite almost half the population identifying as Christian, believers in Eritrea continue to suffer extreme persecution, making it still one of the hardest places in the world to follow Jesus.
The government recognizes only three denominations—Orthodox, Catholic, and Lutheran. Those not part of these groups are at risk of severe persecution at the hands of the state. Gatherings are raided and believers arrested. The conditions facing Christians in prison can be inhumane. Some pastors have been incarcerated for over a decade and have faced solitary confinement. There are possibly more than 1,000 Christians imprisoned in Eritrea, with none formally charged. While some are released, many of these are moved to military service—which is no freedom at all—or house arrest. The ongoing detention of Christians shows that the government has no intention of relaxing its repressive policies.
Christians not recognized by the state are especially vulnerable to the everyday surveillance imposed by the state, with phone calls monitored, bandwidth kept slow, and a network of citizens tasked with spying on their neighbors. This intrusive level of monitoring has led to Eritrea holding the infamous title of “Africa’s North Korea” (The Economist, Aug. 14, 2018).
Meanwhile, converts from Islam and the Eritrean Orthodox Church face harsh mistreatment from their families and communities.
What has changed this year? Very little has changed, except for a slight increase in pressure on churches. The country remains sixth on the World Watch List, making it still one of the hardest places in the world to follow Jesus.
Who is most vulnerable to persecution? Whereas persecution by the state affects Christians across Eritrea, other forms of opposition are more localized. The western and eastern parts of the country are majority Muslim, while the central areas are more Christian Orthodox. Christians from Muslim or Orthodox backgrounds living in those regions are more susceptible to persecution.
- Pray that imprisoned Christians and their families will be sustained by God’s grace and presence.
- Pray for a change of heart for the longtime dictator President Isaias Afwerki.
- Ask God for wisdom, discernment, and boldness for believers as they seek to meet together despite the threat of surveillance.
- Pray that the Lord will protect the congregations of believers that are watched by the police.
- Pray for the Christian youth who are required to serve in the military, even if they don’t want to.
- Pray for the leaders of the Orthodox church, that they will embrace all followers of Jesus as brothers and sisters and not as competitors.
- Pray for the Lord to protect the new believers, converting from Islam and joining evangelical churches.
- Pray that Christians from Islamic and Orthodox backgrounds will be encouraged and empowered to stand firm in their faith and would worship in unity with together.
- Pray for the protection of believers who want to come together and have worship as well as fellowship
- Pray for the secret Christians in Yemen who live under constant threat because of their faith. Ask God to give them courage, wisdom, and boldness, that they would know how to best live out the gospel.
- Pray for believers to sense God’s presence and know that Christians are praying for them.
- Pray that believers experience God’s comfort under persecution and forgive their persecutors.
- Pray to the Lord to guide and protect NGO workers in their covert support to Christians.
- Pray to the Lord to break the powers of darkness and that all Christian believers can worship openly without any fear.

Persecution Watch: Praying for the Jewish and Muslim people
(Voice of the Persecuted) You are invited to join us on Saturday, April 23, 2022 in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.
We need to keep praying for Israel. Tonight (Saturday evening) begins the 7th day of Passover, which is a holy festival.
It is also the 22nd day of Ramadan, the night after “the night of power”. There are Muslims who feel empowered for violence to make the entire Middle East Islamic.
Israel is a testimony that the God of Israel is the true God and a thorn in the side of Islam. Satan wants nothing more than to eliminate Israel.
But God says “no”, and His Word stands.
- Pray for unity in the Spirit (there is no other unity possible) among Jewish, Muslim and all other believers. (It is interesting that this chapter follows Romans 11)
There has been much violence in Israel and on the Temple Mount. Most of the world seems to be condemning Israel.
Psalm 43:3 “Send forth Your light and Your Truth, let them guide me; let them bring me to your holy mountain, to the place where you dwell.”
- Pray for Truth.
- Pray against spirit of violence; pray for angelic protection for all people who are not trying to harm others.
- Pray from Lord’s prayer: “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.” Amen!

Prayer Conference Call for Ukraine
(Voice of the Persecuted) You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 21, 2022 in a prayer conference call for Ukraine and the Persecuted Church hosted by Persecution Watch.
Ukraine: Population: 44 million, Christian 76 %
The Russian Invasion into the Ukraine has entered a new phase. The emphasis has shifted away from the capital City of Kyiv to the eastern provinces, to controlling Ukrainian territory from the Crimea to Luhansk in the Donbas region. Long range goal to get the Ukraine excluded from Black Sea ports and deprive them of the Eastern provinces with their energy rich lands. Making the rest of the Ukraine insignificant.
- Please pray to the Father that He will protect President Zelensky and his cabinet from Russian military forces.
- Pray that the Ukrainians are earnestly seeking the Lord in prayer.
- Pray that the Lord will have His hand on the Ukrainian people in Mariupol.
- Pray to the Lord that He will give the Ukrainian fighters favor, showing them how they to stop the Russian aggression.
- Pray that the Lord will trouble the commanding Russian leaders with lost instructions and confusing as well as contradictory orders.
- Strike the Russian army with a spirit of frustration and failure.
- Pray that the Lord that the Ukrainian military will continue to receive advance intelligence on Russian plans and movements.
- Pray for the missionaries who defy risks in delivering much needed medication into the combat areas.
- Pray that the Lord will give favor to the Christian workers who try to obtain much needed medication, as for example insulin, in neighboring countries as supplies are running low.
- Pray that the Lord will strengthen and sustain all relieve workers who have been working non stop to answer the needs of the Ukrainian people.
- Pray to the Lord that the “West” stays focused on the Ukraine, does not get weary and that public opinion moves on.
- Pray that the Lord will give wisdom, strength and guidance to the German Chancellor has to deal with Industry pressures to continue to buy gas from Russia.
(Industry heavily relies on gas, some say 80% comes from Russia. Not getting gas would mean industrial output to stop, recession and unemployment
- Pray to the Lord that Ukrainian refugees will continue to be welcomed at the border and find both food and shelter. That Nations will not become weary by the multitudes seeking food and shelter.
- Pray to the Lord to comfort the families who were torn apart by the war from their husbands not knowing how they are doing and will they come through this alive.
- Pray to the Lord to give the opposition in Russia more visibility – Lord we pray that you will show antiwar protesters new and novel to ways to get their message out.
- Lord we humbly ask, that You the Great almighty God, will put an end to this war and all the misery it causes.

- Leah Sharibu was kidnapped along with 109 other students on February 19, 2018 when Boko Haram attacked a boarding school in the city of Dapchi, Maiduguri Diocese, in north-eastern Nigeria. A month later, some of the girls died in captivity and all the others were released, except Leah. She was the only Christian in the group
- Alice Loksha Ngaddah was kidnapped during the Rann attack on March 1, 2018. She was a nurse working with Unicef and is a mother of two.
- Pastor Wang Yi to be released from prison, for his family, the children, and the church in China. Pastor Wang Yi who is currently serving his prison sentence.
- Anita an Iranian Christian, persecuted by the Islamic regime seeking asylum.
- Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani from Iran, for his release and his family as their persecution continues. At present he is serving his six-year sentence.

What is Persecution Watch?
Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God. The group meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night at 9pm Eastern time in the United States (please check your time zone). Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted, and the missions became one. Brother Blaine passed into glory on December 26, 2019. It was truly a blessing for all of us to serve alongside this dear man of God and he will be greatly missed. The prayer mission of Persecution Watch remains an important part of our mission. Nadia has a burdened heart for the persecuted and is a prayer warrior standing in the gap for them. She joined the Persecution Watch prayer team in 2013 and has been part of the core ever since. Before becoming the prayer call leader, she served in the role of prayer moderator since 2015. Blaine chose Nadia for her faithfulness to pray for the persecuted and her strong commitment to the Persecution Watch mission. (Voice of the Persecuted) To all our brothers and sisters across the world, be blessed, our God is faithful and true. REJOICE!
Consider those who are persecuted and suffering for the sake of Christ. We, the Church, are one body with many members. Remember our persecuted brothers and sisters as if you were suffering with them. Please keep our persecuted family in your hearts and daily prayers. They’re counting on us to pray for them. May the Lord give us all the strength, wisdom, and faith to endure every trial. May our Holy Father bless the us as we continue to seek Him. May HE grow His love in our hearts for others, including our enemies. Look up and stay focused on Him…come what may.

1On the first day of the week,a very early in the morning, the women came to the tomb, bringing the spices they had prepared. 2They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4While they were puzzling over this, suddenly two men in radiant apparel stood beside them.
5As the women bowed their faces to the ground in terror, the two men asked them, “Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6He is not here; He has risen! Remember how He told you while He was still in Galilee: 7‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and on the third day rise again.’”
8Then they remembered His words. 9And when they returned from the tomb, they reported all these things to the Eleven and to all the others. 10It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them who told this to the apostles. 11But their words seemed like nonsense to them, and they did not believe the women.
12Peter, however, got up and ran to the tomb. And after bending down and seeing only the linen cloths, he went away, wondering to himself what had happened.
The Road to Emmaus (Mark 16:12–13)
13That same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven milesb from Jerusalem. 14They were talking with each other about everything that had happened. 15And as they talked and deliberated, Jesus Himself came up and walked along with them. 16But their eyes were kept from recognizing Him.
17He asked them, “What are you discussing so intently as you walk along?”
They stood still, with sadness on their faces. 18One of them, named Cleopas, asked Him, “Are You the only visitor to Jerusalem who does not know the things that have happened there in recent days?”
19“What things?” He asked.
“The events involving Jesus of Nazareth,” they answered. “This man was a prophet, powerful in speech and action before God and all the people. 20Our chief priests and rulers delivered Him up to the sentence of death, and they crucified Him. 21But we were hoping He was the One who would redeem Israel. And besides all this, it is the third day since these things took place.
22Furthermore, some of our women astounded us. They were at the tomb early this morning, 23but they did not find His body. They came and told us they had seen a vision of angels, who said that Jesus was alive. 24Then some of our companions went to the tomb and found it just as the women had described. But Him they did not see.”
25Then Jesus said to them, “O foolish ones, how slow are your hearts to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26Was it not necessary for the Christ to suffer these things and then to enter His glory?” 27And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was written in all the Scriptures about Himself.
28As they approached the village where they were headed, He seemed to be going farther. 29But they pleaded with Him, “Stay with us, for it is nearly evening and the day is almost over.”
So He went in to stay with them. 30While He was reclining at the table with them, He took bread, spoke a blessing and broke it, and gave it to them. 31Then their eyes were opened and they recognized Jesus—and He disappeared from their sight.
32They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us as He spoke with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?” 33And they got up that very hour and returned to Jerusalem.
There they found the Eleven and those with them, gathered together 34and saying, “The Lord has indeed risen and has appeared to Simon!”
35Then the two told what had happened on the road, and how they had recognized Jesus in the breaking of the bread.
Jesus Appears to the Disciples (John 20:19–23; 1 John 1:1–4)
36While they were describing these events, Jesus Himself stood among them and said, “Peace be with you.” 37But they were startled and frightened, thinking they had seen a spirit.
38“Why are you troubled,” Jesus asked, “and why do doubts arise in your hearts? 39Look at My hands and My feet. It is I Myself. Touch Me and see—for a spirit does not have flesh and bones, as you see I have.” 40And when He had said this, He showed them His hands and feet.
41While they were still in disbelief because of their joy and amazement, He asked them, “Do you have anything here to eat?” 42So they gave Him a piece of broiled fish,c 43and He took it and ate it in front of them.
44Jesus said to them, “These are the words I spoke to you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about Me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms.” 45Then He opened their minds to understand the Scriptures.
46And He told them, “This is what is written: The Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47and in His name repentance andd forgiveness of sins will be proclaimed to all nations, beginning in Jerusalem. 48You are witnesses of these things.
49And behold, I am sending the promise of My Father upon you. But remain in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
The Ascension (Mark 16:19–20; Acts 1:6–11)
50When Jesus had led them out as far as Bethany, He lifted up His hands and blessed them. 51While He was blessing them, He left them and was carried up into heaven. 52And they worshiped Him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, 53praising God continually in the temple.

Psalm 147:1 “Praise the Lord! How good it is to sing praises to our God, how pleasant and fitting to praise Him!”
- Pray that our praise may continually be in our mouths, and the persecuted church would take pleasure in praising Adonai.
Psalm 16:3 ” As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all My delight.”
- Pray the persecuted would know how much they delight and please the Lord. May they find comfort and joy in this.
John 11:19 “And many Jews had come to Martha and Mary to comfort them in the loss of their brother.”
- Pray the church would be of great comfort to those who have lost loved ones.
Romans 15:4 “For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through endurance and the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope.”
- Pray the church would have access to the Word and be comforted and encouraged by them.
Luke 6:27: “But I tell you who hear me: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you.”
- Pray persecuted would be willing and then able to forgive and even love their enemies (want the best for them) in the power of the Holy Spirit.
1 Timothy 2:1 “I urge then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone–“
- Pray for the spiritual harvest.
Psalm 37:4 “Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.”
- Pray the desires of the hearts of those who know the Lord would be realized.
Isaiah 43:19 “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.”
- Pray the church would perceive new things that God is doing; walk through doors God is opening.
- Pray God would make a way in a spiritual desert.
Matthew 16:19 “I will give you the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
- Pray for keys to unlock doors, peoples’ hearts for salvation and favor.
Daniel 1:8 “But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself in this way.”
- Pray against a spirit of compromise in the church, against the mixing of the holy and the profane, the Word and pagan practices
- Pray for protection for the persecuted church:
Through obedience: Genesis 7:7 “And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood”
Through God’s will and action: Genesis 19:16 “When he [Lot] hesitated, the men grasped his hand and the hands of his wife and his two daughters and led them safely out of the city, for God was merciful to them.”
Through God’s favor: Genesis 31:29 “I have the power to harm you, but last night God of your father said to me ‘Be careful not to say anything to Jacob, either good or bad.'”
Through miracles: Luke 4:29-30 “They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill, on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way.”
Psalm 34:10 “The lions may grow weak and hungry, but those who seek the Lord lack no good thing.”
- Pray for supernatural provision for the church, multiplication of resources.
John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.”
- Pray that the church would have peace in the midst of their trials.

Persecution Watch: Praying for Believers in Somalia
(Voice of the Persecuted) You are invited to join us on Thursday, April 14, 2022 in a prayer conference call for the persecuted church hosted by Persecution Watch.
Somalia: Population: 16.6 million, Christians in the hundreds
For more than 25 years, Somalia has been a safe haven for Islamic militants who constantly target Christians both in Somalia and in neighboring countries. Groups like al-Shabab operate with seemingly little pushback and control large parts of Somali territory.
The small number of believers in Somalia are largely Christians who have converted from Islam. Christians are viewed as high-value targets by al-Shabab. Even when Christian converts are not targeted by Islamic extremists, they are intensely pressured by their family. Any conversion from Islam is seen as a betrayal to family and community, so just suspicion of conversion can lead to harassment, intimidation and even murder. Despite the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, al-Shabab continued to be active in 2021—a reminder that life for Christians in Somalia is never safe.
A believer reported: “The first time in court, they made us sign our death certificates … They told us, ‘You have to deny Jesus right now,’ and we said, ‘No, we will not deny the Lord, but we will rather sign for our death.’”
Despite a slight decrease in violent attacks against Christians, persecution remains extreme in Somalia. No place is safe (even the home) for a Christian in Somalia, and pressure in every area of life is intense and unending.
While no part of Somalia is safe, the areas under control of al-Shabab are the most dangerous for Christians. But all Christians who have converted from Islam are in grave danger in Somalia—from their family, their community and society at large.
Prayer Points
- Pray that the Lord will touch President Azali Assoumani through His Holy Spirit to open up to Christianity.
- Continue to pray for peace in Somalia and success in establishing democracy even as the country deals with political upheaval, the constant threat of al-Shabab and the effects of decades of civil war.
- Pray for believers who are living in an environment that is against Christianity that they keep their eyes focused on the Lord.
- Pray for the safety of believers who must hide their faith to survive.
- Pray that the isolated Christians will find other believers for fellowship.
- Pray that believers will have good internet coverage to access for messages that encourage and bless them.
- Pray that God would continue to build up His people in Somalia despite the reality that nearly 100% of Somalis are Muslim, and there is no room for Christians. Islam is the state religion—only Islam can be promoted, and Shariah law is the highest authority.
- Open Doors has been supporting Somali believers across the Horn of Africa for decades. Pray for the work of all NGOs and ask God to let them bear much fruit.
- Pray that Christian workers will remain encouraged by the gospel of Christ as they minister.
- Pray for peace in Somalia. The country continues to struggle with unrest and violent attacks from Islamic extremists.
- Pray for the al-Shahab fighters to that they would learn the truth of Jesus and His love for them.
- Pray for leaders, pastors and Christians forced to rebuild their lives after being displaced.
- Pray for new believers, who are persecuted and ostracized when they come to faith.
- Pray for Christians who left Islam to follow Jesus. Ask God to give them His protection, wisdom, courage and support—so they know they are never alone.
- Pray that the Lord will protect Hid believers from informers.
- Pray to the Lord that Christians will experience God’s comfort and show them that they are being prayed for, that they are part of His worldwide family.
Again, we want to lift up these persecuted witnesses to the Lord:
- Leah Sharibu, prisoner of Boko Haram since 2018. Pray for her release.
- Alice Loksha Ngaddah, kidnapped February 2019. She is a mother of two, working as a nurse for UNICEF. Pray for her release.
- Pray for Pastor Wang Yi to be released from prison.
- Pray for Anita, a Christian convert facing a long prison term who escaped from Iran and praying to go to a country where she can express her faith openly.
- For the release of Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani from Iran, and his family as their Persecution continues. Pastor Nadarkhani is serving the second year of his six-year sentence.

What is Persecution Watch?
Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God. The group meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday night at 9pm Eastern time in the United States (please check your time zone). Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted, and the missions became one. Brother Blaine passed into glory on December 26, 2019. It was truly a blessing for all of us to serve alongside this dear man of God and he will be greatly missed. The prayer mission of Persecution Watch remains an important part of our mission. Voice of the Persecuted is committed to continue the prayer conference call for the persecuted along with the dedicated Persecution Watch prayer warrior team.
Prior to the passing of Brother Blaine, he confirmed the passing of the torch as prayer conference call leader to Nadia Dybvik. Nadia has a burdened heart for the persecuted and is a prayer warrior standing in the gap for them. She joined the Persecution Watch prayer team in 2013 and has been part of the core ever since. Before becoming the prayer call leader, she served in the role of prayer moderator since 2015. Blaine chose Nadia for her faithfulness to pray for the persecuted and her strong commitment to the Persecution Watch mission. We are blessed not only with her gift of prayer, but her genuine love for every brother and sister in Christ that comes on the call to pray. May the Lord continue to bless Nadia and the prayer team in the mission and their personal lives.
“Pray for us” is the number one request that we hear from the persecuted. As the members of the first century Church were moved by the Holy Spirit to pray, we too must continue to serve those suffering persecution by lifting them up to the Lord through prayer.
On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters have been invited on the conference call to share the trials they are facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer. Time is often reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A also helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.
Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone.
We welcome all who desire to pray for the persecuted church and consider it a joy to pray together with you. If you are new to the call and cannot find your voice, listen in and pray silently or on mute. We are grateful and thank the Lord for bringing us all together to pray in agreement for our persecuted family in Christ. We can all be prayer warriors on this call!
