2/13/2021 (Voice of the Persecuted) You are invited to join us on Saturday, February 13, 2021 in a prayer conference call for the Persecuted Church. Click here to read or review Week 1.
4. Persecuted church to stand
(2 Corinthians 4:14-18) 14 knowing that He who raised the Lord Jesus will also raise us with Jesus, and will present us with you. 15 For all things are for your sakes, so that grace, having spread to more and more people, will cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart, but though our outer person is decaying, yet our inner person is being renewed day by day. 17 For our momentary, light affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison, 18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.
(2 Corinthians 5:1) For we know that if our earthly tent which is our house is torn down, we have a building from God, a house not made by hands, eternal in the heavens.
(Psalm 66:9) Who keeps us in life, and does not allow our feet to slip.
5. Protection for persecuted
Save us from powers of darkness. Cover us with precious blood of Messiah.
(Psalm 46) God is our refuge and strength, a very ready help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth shakes and the mountains slip into the heart of the sea;
3 Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains quake at its swelling pride. Selah
4 There is a river whose streams make the city of God happy, the holy dwelling places of the Most High.
5 God is in the midst of her, she will not be moved; God will help her when morning dawns.
6 The nations made an uproar, the kingdoms tottered; He raised His voice, the earth quaked.
7 The Lord of armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, who has inflicted horrific events on the earth.
9 He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow and cuts the spear in two;
He burns the chariots with fire.
10 “Stop striving and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted on the earth.”
11 The Lord of armies is with us; the God of Jacob is our stronghold. Selah
(Psalm 121) I will raise my eyes to the mountains; from where will my help come?
2 My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.
3 He will not allow your foot to slip; He who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Behold, He who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is your [a]protector; the Lord is your shade on your right hand.
6 The sun will not [b]beat down on you by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord will [c]protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.
8 The Lord will [d]guard your going out and your coming in from this time and forever.
(Psalm 90:15-17) 15Make us glad according to the days You have afflicted us, and the years we have seen evil.
16 Let Your work appear to Your servants and Your majesty to their children.
17 May the kindness of the Lord our God be upon us;
And confirm for us the work of our hands; Yes, confirm the work of our hands.
(Psalm 62) My soul waits in silence for God alone; from Him comes my salvation.
2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my stronghold; I will not be greatly shaken.
3 How long will you attack a man, that you may murder him, all of you,
Like a leaning wall, like a tottering fence?
4 They have planned only to thrust him down from his high position;
They delight in falsehood;
They bless with their mouth, but inwardly they curse. Selah
5 My soul, wait in silence for God alone, for my hope is from Him.
6 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my refuge; I will not be shaken.
7 My salvation and my glory rest on God; the rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
8 Trust in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him;
God is a refuge for us. Selah
9 People of low standing are only breath, and people of rank are a lie; In the balances they go up.
Together they are lighter than breath.
10 Do not trust in oppression, and do not vainly rely on robbery; if wealth increases, do not set your heart on it.
11 God has spoken once; twice I have heard this:
That power belongs to God;
12 And faithfulness is Yours, Lord, for You reward a person according to his work.
6. Forgive persecutors
(Psalm 94:1,2) Lord, God of vengeance, God of vengeance, shine forth!
2 Rise up, Judge of the earth, pay back retribution to the proud.
(Psalm 73:12-22) Behold, these are the wicked; and always at ease, they have increased in wealth.
13 Surely in vain I have kept my heart pure and washed my hands in innocence;
14 For I have been stricken all day long, and punished every morning.
15 If I had said, “I will speak this way,” Behold, I would have betrayed the generation of Your children.
16 When I thought of understanding this, it was troublesome in my sight
17 Until I entered the sanctuary of God; then I perceived their end.
18 You indeed put them on slippery ground; You dropped them into ruin.
19 How they are destroyed in a moment! They are utterly swept away by sudden terrors!
20 Like a dream when one awakes, Lord, when stirred, You will despise their image.
21 When my heart was embittered and I was pierced within,
22 Then I was stupid and ignorant; I was like an animal before You.

What is Persecution Watch?
Persecution Watch is a U.S. national prayer conference call ministry that prays specifically for the global Persecuted Church. For over a decade, Blaine Scogin led this national network of believers who faithfully pray for the persecuted and the global harvest for the Kingdom of God.
The group meets via a free call-in service every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday night at 9pm Eastern (please check your time zone). Blaine also served as Prayer Director for Voice of the Persecuted and our missions became one. The prayer mission of Persecution Watch is an important part of our own.
With the passing of Blaine into glory on December 26, 2019, Voice of the Persecuted is committed to continue the prayer conference call for the persecuted along with our dedicated prayer warrior team.
On occasion, persecuted brothers and sisters have been invited on the call to share the trials they’re facing. The team serves to encourage them by washing their feet in Spirit led prayer.
Time is often reserved for those on the call to ask questions. We believe this helps to gain a better understanding of the situation that persecuted Christians endure in their specific nations. Q&A also helps us to focus our prayers based on their current needs.
Persecution Watch also hosts callers who want to pray united from other nations. If your heart is perplexed by the sufferings of our persecuted brothers and sisters, you no longer need to pray alone. We welcome all who desire to pray for the persecuted church and consider it a joy to pray together with you.
If you’re new to the call and can’t find your voice, listen in and pray silently or on mute. We are grateful and thank the Lord for bringing us all together to pray in agreement for our persecuted family in Christ. We can all be prayer warriors on this call!
NOTE: Persecution Watch has a new email address for the prayer team and those who would like to receive urgent prayer requests, weekly call prayer points and notification of special prayer events and special guest speakers.
Please fill out the form below to be included in our new distribution list to receive this important information. We are grateful for your prayers and to the Lord for guiding us as we continue the Persecution Watch prayer call mission.
