Muslims Strip Naked, Beat and Parade Elderly Christian Woman
This report is based on several Arabic language news sources and contacts. (Raymond Ibrahim) A 70-year-old Christian woman was stripped naked, savagely beat, and paraded in the streets of Egypt to jeers, whistles, and yells of “Allahu Akbar,” after a mob of some 300 armed Muslim men descended on her home.
Her crime? Her son is falsely accused of having a romantic relationship with a Muslim woman, which is banned by Islamic law, or Sharia—the same body of teachings that prescribes the collective punishment of non-Muslim “infidels.”
Seven other Christian homes were also torched by the rampaging mob.
The attacks occurred in Minya, Upper Egypt, on May 20, a Friday: the one day of the week when Muslims congregate in mosques and listen to sermons; the one day of the week when most Muslim mob attacks on Christians occur.
While she was on the ground being kicked, cursed, and spat upon, Sa‘d Thabet, the elderly Christian grandmother, managed to slide herself underneath a wagon. While hidden there, an unidentified woman slipped her some garments, and the traumatized woman eventually managed to escape.
“I never saw the woman who covered me and don’t know how I survived,” she said during a closed meeting with clergymen of the Coptic Christian Orthodox Church. They testified that her body was covered with wounds, adding that, “though she is strong, it is sometimes hard for her to speak; she’s always fighting back tears and sometimes breaks down.”
For some time prior to the attack on Thabet, her household had been receiving threats. On the morning of the assault, some of the home’s property was stolen and vandalized. Wearied of the constant harassment, she and her husband went to local police who responded by threatening and kicking them out of the station. A few hours later, around 8 pm, the attack occurred. It took the same local police over two hours to appear, giving the mob “ample time,” as one clergyman put it, to sate its savage impulses.
When asked why she reported the incident on May 24—four days after it happened—Thabet said: “I tried to hide and suppress what occurred, but I could only take the feelings of humiliation and oppression for four days, at which point I decided to return to the local police station and testify about what happened to me before those who had refused to hear me.”
This 70-year-old is hardly the first Christian woman in Egypt to be treated so. In 2013, rioting Muslims “burned down a Christian school, paraded three nuns on the streets like ‘prisoners of war,’ and sexually abused two other female staff even as at least 58 attacks on Christians and their property were reported across Egypt over the last four days. At least two Christians have died in the attacks.”
Nor is this an “Egyptian” phenomenon; it’s an “Islamic” one. In Pakistan, a 28-year-old pregnant Christian mother of four was stripped naked, beaten, and forced to march nude in her town by two Muslim brothers following an argument. She lost her baby in the ordeal, which “was motivated because of Bibi’s [Christian] religious beliefs.” Similarly, a Muslim family kidnapped, beat and left naked on the streets an 8-year-old Christian girl, as a way to “punish” her uncle for pursuing a relationship with a female member of the Muslim family.
In short, every aspect of this most recent attack is part of a well-established pattern that has played over in Egypt, Pakistan, and other Muslim majority nations countless times: a Christian is (often falsely) accused of some infraction; his family and possibly entire village is savagely attacked, beat, molested, and mugged by the mob; and police take their time to arrive and do little when there.
After 3,000 Muslims attacked the Christians of a village near Alexandria in 2012, it took the army an hour to arrive—even though it was only one mile away: “This happens every time,” said a Christian eyewitness. “They wait outside the village until the Muslims have had enough violence, then they appear.”
As Minya’s most senior Christian cleric, Anba Makarios, put it during a televised interview concerning Thabet’s ordeal, if a Muslim man was pursuing a Christian woman, police’s response “would not have been anything like what happened…. No one did anything and the police took no pre-emptive or security measures in anticipation of the attacks. We are not living in a jungle or a tribal society.”
Unfortunately, the good priest is wrong. Islamic culture—founded as it is by an Arab tribesman—is inherently tribal. The umma is the super tribe of Islam, meaning Muslims side with Muslims against all “infidels”—that is, all outsiders—according to the doctrine of “loyalty and enmity.” Highly revered scholar of Islam, Ibn Taymiyya (1263-1328), held that Muslims are “obligated to befriend a believer — even if he is oppressive and violent towards you and must be hostile to the infidel, even if he is liberal and kind to you” (The Al Qaeda Reader, p. 84). Hence why Muslim husbands are told to hate—and show they hate—their non-Muslim wives.
This is the hostile, un-assimilating, tribal mentality that the West is importing by the millions. In Muslim-majority nations—where Christians and Muslims look the same, speak the same language, and are virtually indistinguishable—being non-Muslim is enough to subject one to the aforementioned hate, violence, and discrimination. How much more are Muslims expected to view and treat those who are not only non-Muslim but completely alien in all ways?

Police Rescue 13 Year Old Abducted And Forcibly Converted To Islam
(Voice of the Persecuted) NIGERIA: Boko Haram are not the only culprits abducting young girls. While visiting her relatives at their family compound in Siri village, thirteen -year-old Alheri Bawa went with one of her cousins to stay the weekend with another cousin in Bauchi city.
When she didn’t return, her father, Bawa Buba is an ordained Elder of Seventh-day Adventist Church contacted his family but was told she was visiting with his nephew, Mal Dauda Bawa in Bauchi city. He called Dauda Buba to see if his daughter was still with him. He was told that Alheri was converted to Islam and he would not be seeing her anytime soon. The father was shocked and thought it was a joke. He asked his nephew why he didn’t discuss it with him and that his daughter never mentioned the intent to convert. The nephew told him that he should understand and allow his daughter to remain with him. Bawa Buba along with his pastor and another Elder from the church traveled and met his nephew at the gate of his home. He was told that the issue was no longer family, but religious. That he should put family aside and accept the fact, or go to the Sharia Commission as only they had the power to release his daughter.
While they were talking, his daughter came out excited to seeing her father and wanted to go home with him. He held her hands and asked her to enter the pastor’s car. As she was going, Mal Dauda Buba rushed and held onto her hijab and told her that she is irresponsible and would not leave with father unless the sharia commission was there, since they were aware of her decision. Bawa Buba said his daughter shouted “Na FASA, Na FASA”which translates to “I’m no longer interested.” Both her father and cousin held onto the girl. Bawa said the place was instantly filled with hoodlums who wanted to turn the issue into a religious crisis. They threatened to burn the pastor’s car. Mal Dauda was shouting, “this religious issue, not family. He brought his church people.”
Some Muslim leaders in the area came and expressed their disapproval towards Mal Dauda’s action as unIslamic, but he insisted that he would not let her go. Bawa Buba said they told his pastor to take him out of the place. “I was no longer in my right mind because of the pains and trauma I have been through and my daughter’s willingness to follow me. I was ready to die with my daughter in my hand,” he said.
The crowd was increasing in number and tensions were high. Her father explained, “The Muslim elders begged my pastor to take me away and that I should not worry. They said police would return Alheri, because my nephew’s actions and the and the others gathering were not Islam.” His pastor dragged Bawa Buba by force and drove away from the scene.
Buba relayed, “We went to GRA Division Police station and laid our complaints. The police were quick in action at the beginning. They attached a policeman to us who later arrested Mal Dauda and brought him to the station.
His nephew was asked to explain his side. Mal Dauda then made a call to the Sharia Commission and they requested to speak with the police. After they spoke, his nephew was called to the counter by Inspector in charge. Bawa said his nephew spoke boldly. Afterward, the police disregarded the case, treating it as a civil dispute. Bawa Buba was told to go to court and request for the custody of his daughter.
The father shared in a letter, “My 13-year old daughter is abducted, Islamized and forced to stay with a criminal and the police called it a civil case. We were [told] by the DCO to hire a lawyer and go to court over my daughter.”
“Were is the money to file a case? Which court should I go to? Sharia Court? I’m in trauma and pain. All I want is the custody of my daughter, Alheri Grace Bawa. Pls sir, use your office to return my daughter back to me. I’m home in the village back to my wife and remaining 5 children as we weep and wait for justice for me and my family.”
He had no choice but to go to the media for help. He shared an open letter on news forums and in comment sections of news articles on various news agency websites. It gained much attention and aided in his daughter’s rescue. The letter can be still be found on many sites.
After much pressure from the media and international community, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Bauchi State Commissioner of Police intervened and secured his daughter’s release. She is now reunited with her family. Her abductor, Mal Dauda Bawa is allegedly in police custody and would reportedly be charged to court soon.

80 Muslim Refugees Convert to Christianity and are Baptized
Over 80 Muslim refugees from Iran and Afghanistan have converted to Christianity and been baptized in Hamburg, Germany.
Mohabat News _ Albert Babajan, the pastor who conducted the mass baptism, said that the converts were dissatisfied with Islam and were looking for something more. “The motive for the change of faith is the same for many: they are disappointed with Islam.”
Shima, one Christian convert who was recently baptized, shared about her conversion:
“I’ve been looking all my life for peace and happiness, but in Islam, I have not found it,” she said. “To be a Christian means happiness to me.”
Another convert, Somaz, said: “In Islam, we always lived in fear. Fear God, fear of sin, fear of punishment. However, Christ is a God of love.”
Babajan conducted the baptism ceremony in Hamburg city park.
Many refugees have converted to Christianity since coming to Germany. Babajan says he is aware that some refugees will convert not out of true conviction, but because Christian converts are generally given added protection since they would face death should they return to their home countries.
In order to determine who the true converts are, Babajan says he asks them how Christ has changed their lives.
“Because the Christian faith changed the way of thinking, the world view. If someone told me that at night he can sleep again or an old enemy could forgive, then I know that in his heart he is a Christian.”
“There are maybe 20 or 30 percent who really want to hear the gospel. For those who want to have a license, I must face the door… It is very easy, whoever does not believe will not be baptised,” he added.
Female Christian Prisoner Faces Health Issues in Iranian Prison

Iranian Christian Prisoner, Maryam Naghash Zargaran who suffers from several health conditions is refused much needed medical care in prison.
Mohabat News – Reports from Iran indicate that Christian prisoner, Maryam (Nasim) Naghash Zargaran, is suffering physical illness while officials refuse to transfer her to Hospital to receive proper medical care.

Several reports coming out of Iran indicate that Mrs. Zargaran has been suffering from nausea and pain in her ear. Clinical staff in Evin prison advised her not to move her head for two weeks and will need surgery in case her symptoms do not disappear.

Mrs. Zargaran underwent a heart surgery nine years ago and requires frequent medical attention.
She has been suffering from many other symptoms including chronic pain in her joints and spinal cord in the last year. Medical staff in prison diagnosed her pains to have been caused by lumbar disk, arthritis, and osteoporosis. Despite this diagnosis and a prescribed five day physiotherapy, prison officials have refused to provide her with much needed medical care.

Mrs. Zargaran was initially summoned to an Iranian intelligence office for interrogation in March of 2011. Interrogators constantly threatened her and her family, insulted her and questioned her Christian activities.
‘Can Christians be butchers?’ Tanzania’s Islamist tensions continue

Over 90% of the population of Tanzania’s island of Zanzibar is Muslim, with a small Christian and indigenous minority. Addressing complaints by Christians because they are not allowed to slaughter animals for consumption, an authority told World Watch Monitor,
“Our national policies are silent on who deserves to be a slaughterer. But we have experienced seeing Muslims as our animal slaughterers, mainly because they have been directed by their holy book to eat meat slaughtered by Muslims, while for Christians there is no such condition stating that meat must be slaughtered by a Christian. What this means is that Christians can eat meat slaughtered by anyone.
“This is our custom. We will not allow Christians to engage in this business, as we feel that it will create violence in society. Christians are allowed to sell meat, including to their own butchers; the only problem is around slaughtering the animal.”
WWM reported the recent attack on a mosque in Mwanza, northern Tanzania, has highlighted the area as one [undergoing] pressure from political Islam.
More than three years have passed since the murder of a Tanzanian pastor, killed when rioting Muslims protested against Christians working as butchers. Tanzania is believed to have equal numbers of Christians and Muslims, although no official census figures are available. As Muslims are only permitted to eat meat that has been ritually slaughtered, while almost all Christians have no such restraints, it is typically considered acceptable for only Muslims to work in the trade, even though there is no official legislation to enforce this.
On 11 Feb. 2013, after Christians in the north-western city of Buseresere had arranged for a non-Muslim butcher to prepare meat for a Christian funeral reception, Mathayo Kachila, the pastor of the local Assemblies of God church, was hacked to death by rioters.
For six years before, tension had been building between Muslims and Christians in Buseresere over the issue of animal slaughter. The local government had forbidden non-Muslims from working as butchers, but Christians in the Geita district had begun to do so.
When Muslims heard that a non-Muslim was providing the meat for a funeral reception, they began looting Christian butcheries, urinating on the meat, and assaulting other Christian businessmen. Several were injured. Kachila was on his way to a friend’s house, when he was caught in the riot and received fatal machete wounds. Another nine people were injured.
Police arrested six suspects, but those cases have since stagnated due to lack of evidence and witnesses.
Hundreds of people attended Kachila’s funeral. Although they live in a Muslim-dominated area, it was the first time anything like this had happened there and the Christians were stunned.
Following the riots, police arrested and charged two local pastors, Obadiah Mlokozi Madini (who has since died) and Isaiah Rutha Ikiri (now 56), for “slaughtering animals without considering the law on food, medicine and law about livestock diseases”. Their cases lasted for almost two years, before being dismissed early in 2015.
Geita’s Regional Police Commander, Mponjoli Mwabulambo, told World Watch Monitor: “It has been our custom since the establishment of Tanzania – and even before – to see Muslims slaughter animals for public use, and we have not seen any problem. We have to care for our traditions and customs, which is to see Muslims doing this. If Christians slaughter animals, Muslims will not eat them. We feel that it will create violence in society, especially on the Muslim side.”
But some Christians believe that the eating of halal meat goes against their religious beliefs.
There is also an economic element. The halal slaughtering service costs TShs500 (US$0.22) per chicken, 1,500 TShs (US$0.67) per goat/sheep and TShs2,500 (US$1.12) per cow, and customers are issued a receipt from the Tanzania Supreme Council of Muslims, to whom the remittances are paid.
Local Muslims also complained over losing income to Christian butchers, as demand for non-halal meat increased and more Christians took up the trade.

Not only the 219 Chibok girls but thousands of North Nigerian girls have been kidnapped, mentally tortured. raped, forcibly married and converted to Islam. Suffering in Persecution: Can You Sponsor This Baby and His Family?

This child belongs to one of the families Voice of the Persecuted’s Project 13:3 helps to survive in Thailand. He was born into extremely difficult conditions. Johan’s parents fled persecution in Pakistan to seek safety and asylum in Thailand. But the unfortunate circumstances waiting for them is more than most could possibly bare. Since 2014, they’ve been forced to hide from Thai authorities while they wait for the UNHCR to process their case. The office as scheduled their initial case interview for 2018. This little one’s father is unable to legally work to care for his new son. He also suffers from a skin infection he contracted during his stay at the Central Jail, then the Immigration Detention Center (IDC) after being arrested. It’s proven to be very difficult to cure. This father also suffered very harsh treatment during his stay at the jail, which housed hardened criminals.
When Johan was born, Voice of the Persecuted was able to provide everything needed to care for him, including rent, food for his parents and a month’s supply of formula and diapers. They are again unable to cover May’s room rent. Voice of the Persecuted has a waiting list of families designated with the most extreme needs. PRAISE REPORT: One of the Chibok school girls has been found! 218 still missing
(Voice of the Persecuted) It’s been over two years since 276 majority Christian girls were taken from their school in Chibok, Borno State by the Islamist militant group Boko Haram in Nigeria. 56 girls had managed to escape, but 219 remained in captivity. The militant group has been terrorizing Nigeria and targeting Christians in their campaign for an all Islamic Nigeria for the past for 7 years. They are currently ranked as the deadliest terrorist group in the world. According to the latest reports, one of the Chibok school girls has been found alone by members of a local vigilante group known as Civilian JTF(Joint Task Force). Apparently she was recognized by a civilian fighter. Since the Boko Haram uprising, local authorities have encouraged these civilian groups to be alert and to protect their villages, as the military did not have the ability to police their areas and often could not reach their villages during attacks.
A Chibok community leader has confirmed that the girl was rescued in the Sambisa Forest, near the border with Cameroon on Tuesday, May 18. The rescued girl, Amina Ali Nkek is from Mbalala village, which is south of Chibok. She was taken by the locals to a military base nearby. She will be protected by military personnel until further investigations are completed.
Emmanuel Ogebe, a Nigerian human rights lawyer who has been involved in the campaign to find the schoolgirls, also confirmed that Nkek had been found. He told VICE News she is believed to have been carrying a child.
As the global community stood behind France after the Charlie Hebdo jihadists attacks on January 7, 2015, world leaders expressed great sorrow and attended a march with an estimated 3.7 million people in a show of unity and solidarity following the terrorist attacks that claimed 17 lives. During the same week n Nigeria, experienced an attack by Boko Haram militants took place on the town of Baga in Borno state. There were 2,000 casualties. Amnesty International described it as the terror group’s “deadliest massacre” to date. It was so horrific, local defense groups said they had to give up counting the bodies left lying on the streets.
Why isn’t the same level of outrage as in the Frace attack not given to the greater numbers of attack victims in Nigeria? We have confirmed from our sources on the ground that attacks continue nearly every other day on villages surrounding the Sambisa Forest—Boko Harams main hideout. Where’s the media coverage or global solidarity and concern? Where is the church?
The abduction of the mostly Christian Chibok schoolgirls garnered international attention in April 2014. The global campaign, #BringBackOurGirls was shared millions of times on social media. Sadly, it was only for a short while short attention spans focused on the latest headlines. For the most part, the girls were forgotten. I’ve heard someone sharing that all the girls were rescued. The media silence caused them to believe the crisis was over…..
We are so grateful the Chibok story received coverage, but many are completely unaware that for the past 7 years, thousands of North Nigerian women and children have been abducted and experienced the same as the Chibok girls. Victims who were fortunate to escape their captors have shared detailed accounts of the systematic rape, forced marriages, forced conversions, and slavery that women and girls are subjected to while being held. They are also used to aid the militants during attacks/raids on villages and used as decoys to draw out soldiers. The horrors of slaughter and beheading that they’ve witnessed is blood curdling. It’s also great concern that the young girls they have used as suicide bombers could be those who’ve been abducted. Please pray for those still in captivity and those recovering from the nightmare.
The great numbers of internal refugees (IDP’s internally displaced) is mind-boggling to say the least. Many have languished in camps for years. Little ones born in camps call it home having no knowledge of any other way of life. The children have not been able to attend school. The great needs of the masses take funding away for educating these little ones. It breaks my heart when we hear the stories of boys and girls dreaming of going back to their studies. Some have not been in a classroom for years.
Voice of the Persecuted is helping to care for Nigerian Christians suffering in IDP camps. There’s a great need for food, medicine and clean water. With your help, we have been able to build a contained fresh water well, supply bedding/mattresses, food and clothing and to provide medical care and prescriptions in a safe place. In the area we are working, nearly 10,000 Christians are in great need of our help. It is easy to believe others are standing in the gap to support them, but this is not the case. Too many of these dear ones go without the basics to survive. Funds available to care for them this month is short.
