Many times we find ourselves saying, I should start reading the Bible, or I need to get into the Word. Often this thought gets put aside due to our hectic schedules and the trials of the day. If this sounds like you, I’ve got great news…Today is a new day! A day to purposely choose to begin one of the most important things we as those called by Christ can do, read God’s word.

It is where you will learn His plan for us and this world which seems to be collapsing in on itself. How we can have true peace and joy. Courage in times where worldly men fear. Hope in the many promises that God has given to us. And to come to know the One who created all things for Himself, including you!

Commit yourself to reading the Bible. Begin by praying for wisdom and understanding through the Holy Spirit. Be still. Think yourself EMPTY, then read yourself FULL!

  1. For those, such as myself, who have difficulty sticking to a reading schedule. I would recommend listening to an audio Bible. There are good apps from You Version and Bible Gateway that one can get for their phone. Or one can buy an audio Bible in their particular translation. I have used both app and audio Bible and they both have been a blessing. There is joy in listing to the Word of God as one does housework. Or as one takes a walk. Or simply resting. The Word of God will immerse your soul.

if you have a 30 minute or an hour commute to work back and forth. That is a good time to listen to the word. Why not? As most people are listening to their secular music. You are listening to the eternal words of God.

Can not say enough about listing to the word. But remember faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
