A Growing Trend That Is Disturbing

United with the Persecuted

Share their stories Knowledge is power!

Recently we have noticed a growing trend that disturbing to us.  The news lately has wrenched our heart and souls.  we’ve spent countless hours in prayer and tears over the slaughter in the Middle East.  The persecution of our brethren in not so distant lands has disturbed us all.  But there is a growing trend that’s very troubling.  Not to say that people can’t defend themselves against terror or evil that is encompassing the world.  With that said, we can’t stoop to levels that represent the very evil that is coming against us.  We have all seen the campaign by demonic entities to present themselves as honorable warriors for their god.  But to take on the very protocol that they are doing is not honorable.

We have witnessed first hand even Christian sites encouraging and even supporting mercenaries to travel to these lands to fight and kill these evil entities.  I call them entities because they and their actions are not human.  Are we to resort to inhuman activities as well?  Are we not to be separate from this?  Are we not to shine a light into the darkness and lead all to Christ?  Why not support life saving aid missions that are actually making a difference for those fleeing persecution and slaughter?  We have all seen the governmental aid that has been intercepted by ISIS, why are we not demanding accountability from our governments for this aid?  Why are we not demanding accountability from our governments who fund and aid in the billions to countries who abuse not only basic human fundamental rights, but the rights of all to have freedom?

Recently there have also been many glamorizing this fight.  We applaud any country who makes a stand for freedom, but to glamorize killing in anyway goes against every principal we stand for.  We not only advocate for Christians who are persecuted but for everyone oppressed, everyone who doesn’t have a voice or means to rise up and confront evil.  We can not condone radicalization in any way, means or form.  Recently the movement calling women to join the fight against ISIS is also disturbing.  Photos and videos glamorized with women in full makeup looking more like beauty queens than soliders.  Not only are they disgusting, they are inciting evil to conquer and kill these women.  Another woman was captured recently by ISIS and beheaded.  This is not glam, it’s not honorable but neither is the call to join militias to kill in the name of God.

Jesus’ words, “there is coming a time when they will kill you thinking they are doing a service to God”, which not only applies to this inhuman evil, but to us as well.   This ideology is dangerous, dark and false.  So are we to participate in it?  No.  This is why we can not and will not be a part of this in any way.  Think long and hard before you condone or become complicit in these types of activities.  We have prayed long and hard about this, and this is what the Holy Spirit lays on our hearts.

“How far do you go to stop evil, before you are also evil?”

Pray for Knowledge, Wisdom, and Guidance, pray for our brethren and all innocent and lost souls in the world facing evil.  Pray for God’s mercy.  Pray for world leaders to turn to God and use righteous judgements and actions.  Pray for the world to turn to Faith instead of fear.  Pray for God’s almighty hand of judgement and protection.

  1. Thank you so very much for voicing that which I have noticed – especially for the last 3 months or so!
It seems to me that there has been a dramatic increase in viciousness and animosity against – specifically the followers of Mohammed – by not only ‘secular’ websites – but also those that claim to be ‘christian’ – and the response of ‘christian’ individuals. There is NOTHING Biblically sound about many/most of the responses at many of those websites.
I was personally banned from one website for being too Biblically literal and ‘fundamental’ in one of my responses. Even if I were told that I would be allowed to again make comments at that website, I do not think that I would – because of the outright hatred, vile diatribe, and malicious comments that are most commonly posted.
I seriously wonder if “the mystery of iniquity” of 2 Thess 2:7 [KJV] is a gradual occurrence – and that it is affecting each and every person living on this increasingly evil, wicked and perverse world?
Personally – I have been noticing and experiencing more wicked thoughts and spiritual attacks in the last 3 months or so.

I have heard some of the very few Biblically sound, God called Pastors and Teachers that are left, who also attribute this to the fact that most Christians lack knowledge of that which is actually written in the Holy Bible – for they spend very little time reading, studying or praying for understanding of “the truth” of “the word of God”.
The Biblical understanding of most that claim to be Christians here in ‘Amerika’ – and many other countries around this world – is horribly shallow – ‘an inch deep – and a mile wide’.

I heard a man talk who had been to Africa who asked when a lion was the most dangerous? The reply was when the lion was mortally wounded, for it knows that it has ‘nothing to lose’ – it is going to die anyway!
It is way past time that those of us who truly are one of the few that are real followers of “the Lord Jesus Christ” – CHRISTians – that we read, think seriously upon, and pray effectually and fervently for the ability to realize “the truth” of “the word of the LORD” in these very real times of great spiritual deception:
    (8) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:
    (9) Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
    (10) But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.
    (1 Peter 5:8-10 [KJV])

Amen, Bro. Nick. These are very real dark times and spiritual deception is running rampant. Praying for knowledge, wisdom and guidance for us all. We agonized in prayer a long time about this post. Through prayer and tears and study of God’s word truth rings loud. Praying for all to seek the truth in God’s word. These times will only get darker and more confusing. Thanks for your voice.

Actually, If the USA had a president that saw Christians as friends and not political foes, the world would look a little different.
After all, we didn’t get concerned about ISIS until after they had beheaded a reporter ( a secular missionary ). Never mind the thousands who died before hand.
Kind of reminds me of the 5 years the US refused to fight WWII…………the pillage and rape of Nanking, the round up of Jews, the invasion of Poland, the fall of France, the bombing of London ……………..

  3. Amen. Sobering truth! Our ME brothers and sisters are living the reality of physical persecution and true martyrdom. For the most part Americans and Europeans experience it vicariously, if at all. I believe greater persecution is happening gradually, because the enemy has patience, but at a faster pace in the current generation. Just today, another woman was beheaded in America. We have gotten used to hearing of shocking murders in other nations in an almost regular or routine fashion. How long before a beheading in the US no longer warrants the evening newscast? It keeps us asleep which is just fine with many. People will need to inform themselves, if necessary, rather than follow ‘blind guides’ who do not preach or even pray about the issues facing Christians today. In Thessalonians it states that “truth’ itself will be cast down in the last days. We see that now as people are inpatient to hear Biblical truth. The experience of being shunned for being ‘too religious’ ‘dogmatic’ or a ‘Bible thumper’ will increase. People are being brainwashed that there are many ways to God and will not listen to those who say there is only One Way.

  4. Note to VOP: The earlier comment may be off-topic to the point of your message to be tolerant and trust God. Feel free not to post or post as desired. God bless you for your tireless efforts on behalf of God’s Kingdom.

  5. The greatest example of injustice that was ever done on the face of this planet was done to the Lord Jesus Christ. Yet when Peter tried to defend Jesus, Jesus told him to put his sword away. Jesus said those who take up the sword will perish by the sword. Jesus does not need Christian militias to defend the persecuted church. He certainly does not need the carnal weapons of man. Our weapons are divinely powerful for destruction of fortresses. Our war is a spiritual war that must be fought with spiritual weapons. Those weapons are prayer and the Word of God.

  6. The teachings of Jesus show that we never take revenge against our enemies. His clearest teachings are found in the Sermon on the Mount. consider what Jesus says in the following verses,

…….You have heard that it was said an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth. But I say to you do not resist an evil person, but whoever slaps you on the right cheek, turn the other to him also…….Mat. 5:38 39.

    Jesus also says,

…….You have heard that it was said you shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven, for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and a good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous…….Mat.5:43-45.

Jesus exemplified His own teaching in Mat. 26:52 when he tells Peter put your sword back into its place for all those who take up the sword shall perish by the sword. Jesus easily could have called down angels to defend him. He certainly did not need the carnal weapons of man. Jesus chose to suffer the injustice of evil men to purchase our our salvation on the cross.

No where do we see in the New Testament that the believer is to take his own revenge or vengeance. This is clearly seen in the teachings and the example of Jesus himself.

Those who advicate a so-called just war are distorting the Scriptures to their own destruction. They are clearly not listening to the teachings of Jesus Christ.
