Harry A. Mavrogeorge Jr (Massachusetts, USA)
Dear Abedini Family,
While I am sorry that you are going through this tremendous persecution and trial, I thank the Lord that He is faithful and almighty. We know from the Scriptures that those who will live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution, though the scriptures did not specify what kind. Whenever any one of us suffers wrong for our Lord, it is for His glory, and for our ultimate reward.
The Lord has used your trials to spur me on in my walk of faith. My local church is being strengthened by your testimony of faith and courage in the Lord. We pray more and more than ever before, and our local church has always been known as a praying church. Our local church is Central Baptist Church, in Quincy, Massachusetts.
Through the faith and courage of the Abedinis and other Christians who are suffering persecution, we are being emboldened even more to share the faith with as many people as we can and to get ready for the day of our Lord’s return. We feel it will be sooner rather than later.
Be encouraged that you are not forgotten by our Lord and His church! There are many Christians praying for your return to the States, and we are praying that your captors will be given the grace to repent of their sins and embrace Christ as their Savior.
Know that God loves you, and we do as well. God’s blessings and strength be unto you, in Christ Jesus, Amen.
We praise God for you and your church! We will lift you up and pray the Lord greatly blesses you, brother. We pray much fruit is produced for your faithfulness in sharing the Gospel.
VOP Project Team
Tell Pastor Saeed that we understand, and we will pick up the cross and follow Christ as he has.
Join in this project to let the Abedini’s know how they have inspired or renewed your faith. Each testimony will be a source of encouragement to them and the Body of Christ. When the family is reunited we will gather the stories to be published in a book and presented to the family as an appreciation for their steadfast faith. Together, we will be able to provide a little insight into how God has worked through them to be a blessing to more than they realize. Add your testimony below. If your church has been active in praying for this persecuted family, inform them of this special mission so they too can share their thoughts and be an encouragement.
